REMEMBERING JUDI

 It is with great shock and deep sadness that we announce the death of Judi Touchard, our President.

 

 

Judi’s sudden and unexpected death has left us all stunned, as a recently new member she became involved almost immediately and joined the committee.  We were all delighted when she took on being President following on from Margaret Pleming this March.

It has been a joy to be part of her committee where she showed great leadership, enthusiasm and empathy for the membership, we will miss her enormously.  We are all feeling bereft.

I liked Judi.  We spent time together on the monthly WI walks and

I enjoyed her company. She was always interesting and full of anecdotes about her life. I will miss her.

It was such a terrible shock to hear that Judi had died so suddenly.    She became President just before the lock down began and then worked so hard making sure that members felt they weren’t forgotten.    Judi was always so cheerful and full of fun and I miss her.

I  shall, as shall we all, miss your warm personality,your smile and your so very infectious  laugh. An awful gap is left in our membership which will be hard to fill.

My sadness at the loss of our lovely Judi is hard to come to terms with.  I think of her as a wonderful friend full of happiness and laughter.  Her artistic touches in her home with the many candles and lights is something I will always remember.  Our WI has lost a vibrant member and my thoughts are also with her family. I shall miss her so very much as will all those whose lives she touched.  Thank you for being a friend dear Judi

What a terrible thing to happen to our dear Judi. I cannot believe  she has gone, so suddenly and tragically. Dean Rise will not be the same without her. We will all miss her immensely. Best wishes to her husband and family.

Such a shock and so sad. We were really looking forward to her being the Dean Rise chairman - she had a very difficult start this exceptional year, so we were only just getting to know her.

I am absolutely appalled to receive this news.   I joined her and a few others for coffee on 17th September, she was so hospitable and lively.   Such a loss to us all.

I was so very sorry to hear the news about Judi -she will be missed by Dean Rise. I remember her enthusiasm discussing with me mutual experiences as a delegate when she went to the NFWI Annual Meeting two years ago.

 It’s difficult to know what to say when something so sudden like this happens.  Bless her she was such a lovely person to be with.I shall miss her as I always so looked forward to playing Bridge with her.

I was so sorry to hear of Judy’s death. I sat next to her at a coffee morning at Catherine’s and had a long chat.

I am still reeling from the news as I met Judy over 35 years ago through a mutual friend and work .

We had some good lunches and laughs .

My family knew her from the surgery which she administered way above expectations.

We send our best wishes to her family and friends.
